CREX ® (Colorectal anastomosis; Rejoin the intestine and validate the anastomosis; Extract samples for analysis; X-ray through connected catheters) is a patented unique method to rejoin the intestine. The adaptive rings (RapAn®) has a key position when the method is used. When the healing process is completed the RapAn follows the stools out the natural way, which usually takes 10-14 days.

RapAn

RapAn® is a short-term medical device that joins together the intestinal ends after removal of a tumor. Four catheters linked to RapAn® are pulled through the anal opening. The catheters are used to validate the anastomosis during and after surgery.

FixAid Hemsida

FixAid® is a single-use kit comprising of RapAn® and corresponding tools for application of the adaptive rings for anastomosis after resection in colon.

FixAid No cath

FixAid no cath® is a single-use kit comprising of RapAn® and corresponding tools for application of the adaptive rings for anastomosis after resection in colon. As the topic indicates there are no catheters connected to RapAn. This kit is specifically designed for the Chinese market.

LapAid

LapAid® will be a kit comprising the handle and the corresponding of RapAn® and corresponding tools (DMH/DMHC) for application of the adaptive rings for anastomosis after resection in upper rectum or to perform side-to-side anastomosis.

LapAn

LapAn – is used together with LapAid and corresponds to RapAn used together with FixAid and RectoAn used together with RectoAid

Recto

RectoAid® – consists of a handle portion and the corresponding RectoAn® mounted on an anvil. RectoAn fits to the corresponding LapAn and RapAn. RectoAid is used after resection of tumors in rectum.

RectoAn

RectoAn – is used together with RectoAid and corresponds to RapAn used together with FixAid and LapAn used together with LapAid.

DMCH

DMCH® will be a tool to put the Ring in place. It is used together CREX LapAid and RapAn with catheters.

DMH

DMH® will be a tool to put the Ring in place. It is used together CREX LapAid and RapAn without catheters.

DMCH
HealGuard – this Pressure Measure Device is used to validate the anastomosis i.e. the contact pressure between the intestinal ends, through the catheters connected to RapAn/LapAn/RectoAn.

TestDevice

Test Device will be a useful tool to check the diameter of the intestine at the level of the planned anastomosis. This device can be used for all anastomosis techniques, not only CREX

The duality of CREX – Each size has its own colour. All instruments with the same colour correspond to each other. The surgeon chooses which combination of instruments to be used to solve the task optimally.
